Subsequent to the sale of Common Resources, Pine Brook entered into an arrangement to form Common Resources II (“Common II”).  Common II is a start-up exploration and production company focused on domestic, onshore, oil and gas opportunities where horizontal drilling techniques are required to extract the resource.

The Common II management team consists of substantially all of the members of Common Resources management.  Roger Jarvis, having previously served as Chairman, President and CEO of Common, will become Chairman of Common II, will continue to mentor management, and be involved in the opportunity selection, capital allocation, and strategic decisions for Common II.  Elliott Pew will serve as a Director of Common II and will continue to provide technical oversight.  The Common II team will be led by Tom Jones, who previously served as the VP of Engineering at Common.

The Common II team expects to utilize the opportunity identification approach developed and successfully deployed at Common and will focus on areas where existing midstream infrastructure exists or is currently being developed.
