Essent Group Ltd. (“Essent”) is a newly-formed Bermuda-based holding company which, through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, intends to provide mortgage credit enhancement products (primarily private mortgage insurance (“MI”) and reinsurance) for US residential real estate. Essent’s operations will be conducted through Essent Guaranty, Inc., an insurance company to be domiciled and headquartered in Pennsylvania, and through Essent Reinsurance, Ltd., a Bermuda-domiciled reinsurer.
